Baby’s First Easter Ideas

Easter is right around the corner, and I’ve been having so much fun thinking of ideas to make Liam’s first Easter special. Before we had Liam, being that we live so far from family, we celebrated by having friends over for Easter brunch and mimosas. We’re hoping to continue that tradition, and add to the fun with an Easter egg hunt and Easter baskets for the kiddos.

Here are some of my favorite ideas for our babys first Easter basket this year:

babys first easter

Baby Pool – Intex Mushroom Inflatable Baby Pool
Since our boy LOVES swimming, we thought it would be fun for him to have his own little pool that we can use out on our patio. The weather has been so nice, and with Spring and Summer fast approaching I think we’ll get lots of use out of this adorable pool (and you can’t beat the price!)

Bunny – Melissa & Doug 14″ Plush Burrow Bunny
Every baby needs a bunny for their first Easter, and I fell in love with the big feet on this guy! I know so many people love the Jellycat bunnies, but this bunny is just too cute!

Toothbrush – Baby Banana Bendable Training Toothbrush, Infant
My cousin’s little guy has this toothbrush and loves chewing on it! Great for teething and for teaching them the importance of caring for their little teeth!

Snacks – Organic Baby Food Happy Yogis Yogurt Snacks
These look like a good Easter treat for our little man. Have any of you tried them?

Sippy – Zo-li Bot Straw Sippy Cup 6oz
We are just starting to introduce a sippy cup to Liam. So far we have a Nuby one that he likes, but he mostly chews on it vs. drinks out of it. Liam loves drinking from a straw when we offer it to him, so I thought he might like this sippy cup. Our niece has a few of these and they seem to be one of her (and Mama’s favorites).

Basket – Market Basket – Mini Bolga
These sweet little baskets are woven by women in Uganda, and I love it! It’s the perfect size for little hands to hold on to. I’ve seen lots of kiddos at the farmers market with these too…so cute!

Easter Books
Duck & Goose, Here Comes the Easter Bunny!
Pat the Bunny Deluxe Edition (Pat the Bunny) (Touch-and-Feel)
I Love You, Honey Bunny (Earesistables)
Jellycat Board Books, If I Were a Duck

Bibs – McPolo’s BABYSOFT iBib
Our little man has started eating solids, and we are trying to let him self-feed many of the foods we’ve given him. I think everyone needs a couple of these wipeable silicone bibs (especially if you are doing baby-led weaning)!

Suction Bowls – Munchkin Stay Put Suction Bowl, 3 Count
Another useful eating tool – and I love the fun colors.

I think there are some fun and useful ideas for our babys first Easter here. I also love the idea of bubbles, bath toys, and hiding puffs inside Easter eggs. I am so looking forward to spending this special holiday with Liam. I am sad that we won’t be able to be with family, but we’ll be seeing my Mom and Grandma soon, when they do their West Coast trip at the end of next month!! Yayyy!

We had the same pool for our daughter last summer and it got so much use! The cute little mushroom top gave the perfect amount of shade for her!
