We’ve had a really fun month! Just this past weekend, Liam took his first trip to another country! We decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day as a family this year, and took a little day-trip down to Rosarito, Mexico! We all had so much fun!
We went to brunch at our favorite restaurant, Tapanco, and ordered chilaquiles and mimosas. Liam had some bananas and tried frijoles for the first time. He was a big fan!
We then took a short ride further down the coast to check out the surf break K38, and took a walk along the rocks while our little man snoozed in our new LILLEbaby All Seasons Carrier
. It was great for walking around in the warm sun all day!
After our walk we grabbed a couple of margaritas at Baja Calypso nearby, and then headed back to Rosarito Beach. We did a little shopping, and Liam scored some great finds!
Then we went down to the beach for a siesta…
This was Liam’s first time sleeping in our KidCo Peapod Portable Bed
and it was awesome! We brought all of his usual sleep stuff, his zipadeezip, Ele Lovie
, and the blanket my mom made for us. I nursed him and he went right to sleep as if he were home and took an hour long nap on the beach.
It was such a relaxing day, and a great way to spend our first Valentine’s Day as a party of three!
Liam has just started doing a lot more “talking” – and now that he’s 6 months, has been helping out around the house and developing some hobbies of his own:
- He plays the guitar
- Blows bubbles
- Swims and
- He makes our coffee in the morning!
He is growing so much, and I can’t believe that our little peanut is already 6 months old! We’ve started to give him some solid foods within the last few weeks. So far he’s tried (and loved): applesauce, bananas, green beans, pears, cucumbers, clementines, refried beans, papaya, and a mango/apple/pear/kale blend we found at Costco. He currently weighs 21 lbs 6.5 oz, and is 30″ long! Such a big boy, and wearing 12 month clothes! Slow down Liam!
We have another trip coming up this next week – we are going to the Dominican Republic for Collin’s cousin Ryan’s wedding! We are so excited, and are looking forward to spending some time in Miami with Jordan, Sara, and Abby beforehand. It is so fun to travel to new places, and even more fun with Liam…it’s like we are looking at everything through new eyes, noticing things that we wouldn’t have before.
