I can’t believe I’m sitting here writing another monthly update already! I have mixed emotions, because my sweet boy is getting so big, but at the same time I am enjoying this stage in his development so much! To be honest though, I have cried a few times over the last couple days at the thought my tiny little babe is growing up – 7 months old seems so much closer to a year than 6 months old did.
He is becoming so much more active, sitting up, crawling on things, scooting backwards, getting up on his hands and knees, and working on his bear crawl. It’s so exciting watching him discover that he can do these things. He’s also started noticing more animals – he loves watching the birds fly above him on our walks, and gets really excited when he can get up close and personal with little dogs. His favorite so far has been a french bulldog. The kid has good taste, french bulldogs are one of mama and dada’s favorites! We would love to get a family pass to the San Diego Zoo so we can introduce him to some of our favorite animals.
Liam has just about out-grown his infant car seat, so the search is on for an affordable convertible car seat! We honestly don’t drive very often, so we don’t need anything fancy, but we would like something safe and comfortable that can grow with our little guy. I’ll have more on that in another post, but if any of you have recommendations, please let me know.
He is eating more and more solid foods, and we have yet to find something he doesn’t like! We feed him one “meal” of solid foods a day. He really loves mangos and avocados the best. I am still primarily nursing him and plan to continue for quite some time.
Still no teeth, but he acts like they are coming in any day now. He has gained a couple of pounds since my last update, and I believe he weighs around 23 lbs now. He is still wearing some 12 months clothes, and moving into 18 months depending on the brand. Such a big boy!
Liam’s current favorite things are going on walks, the beach, and bath time. The boy gets SO excited when we start to fill up his tub. He starts squirming and laughing, and kicks his little legs around – he’s hard to hang onto when he knows it’s bath time! I can’t wait to give him his mushroom pool for Easter so we can spend more time playing in the water.
I almost forgot we used our iBert Safe-T Bike Seat for the first time this month! He looks so adorable in it, and he is starting to like going on bike rides more and more. We also purchased a new bike bell that spins (the Jellibell Bicycle Bell) and Daddy installed it close enough for Liam to reach, so it’s really easy for Liam to ring it. I am so proud when we’re riding down the boardwalk and my babe starts spinning that bell! So cute! Biking is one of my favorite things, so I was so excited to try this seat out with him! Thank you so much Case Family! If anyone is curious, his helmet is the Bontrager Little Dipper – we picked it up at a local bike shop. It has a super cool truck on it that Liam picked out and it fits him great!
Liam is so close to crawling… I have a feeling we have lots of fun in store for this month. Look out world!
