I’ve been thinking a lot about this new chapter I am entering in life, and have been feeling like I need somewhere to share all of these thoughts.
It all started back in November when my hubby (Collin) and I decided it was time to try and start having a family. It happened much quicker than I thought it would, but exactly as I hoped it would. On December 11th, after a month of trying I took three pregnancy tests (just to be sure!), and all of them were positive! We couldn’t believe it!
I immediately emailed my doctor to set up our 1st appointment, and we were able to see baby & hear baby’s heartbeat for the first time on January 14th – it was 152 beats per minute.
I am now in my 19th week of pregnancy (already!), and it has really flown by! I feel blessed to have skipped over any feelings of morning sickness, and have for the most part been feeling great.
Baby Krawll is:
- The size of a MANGO
- 6 whole inches, crown to rump!
- About 8.5 oz
- Can hear mom’s voice
- And is growing hair
I can’t believe we’re almost half way there!
Cravings:
pickles, APPLES, Easter candy/chocolate, clementines
Aversions:
Salad – although this is getting better – I can stand it in small doses.
The BEST thing about pregnancy this week:
Finally starting to feel baby move!
Feeling:
More tired, bigger, & excited to see our baby at our mid-pregnancy ultrasound soon!
What we’re buying:
With the help of our parents, we’ve been stocking up on cloth diapers (so far we’ve purchased Charlie Banana Pocket Diapers, Coquí Baby Hero Pocket Diapers
, and Baby Trend Pocket Diapers), and we also found THE crib – we purchased this beautiful Kendall Crib and Catalina Dresser from Pottery Barn Kids. I am so excited to set it up, so our 2nd bedroom/office starts feeling more like baby’s room 🙂
Thanks for joining me on my mommyhood journey – I’m hoping this can be a place where I can look back at my pregnancy and remember this special time in my life. I hope it will also help me bond and feel more connected to baby by writing about him or her. I also hope this becomes a positive place where we can learn from one another and encourage one another in parenting and life in general.
