Have you done your spring cleaning yet?
I’m sure if you’re like me you have your spring cleaning done before Easter, right? Insert hysterical laughter here.
In my life getting the regular housework basics done is a huge achievement. I usually only do a full house clean in the last hour before someone is scheduled to visit. Working full time and cleaning just don’t mix and it’s always mad dash to get everything thrown in closets and swept under the rug. But once or twice a year I take a three day weekend and use one of those days to do my spring cleaning.
It used to take me forever to deep clean the entire house, but over the years I’ve gotten it down to a science. I wanted to share my list with you. Below I have a printable for my…
Spring Cleaning in Just a Day Plan:
A good guide is for deep cleaning is once in the spring and once in late fall. Weekly I stick to a quick vacuuming, wiping down the counters, dishes and laundry for the most part. A quick note most of my cleaning is done with vinegar based cleaners including washing the wall. My quick formula for wiping down the walls is gallon of hot water to with room for a cup of vinegar. Then I use a old floor swiffer with a microfiber cloth that has the solution that has been rung out attached. It allows for a much faster wall wash and you can get right up to the ceiling (short girl friendly). Even if I can’t paint, or have fancy things in your home a good cleaning can make everything feel fresh and new again.
I hope this checklist helps you get everything done quickly so there is time for the more important things, like family.
