Kids Books – Our Current Favorites

I have another round of kids books to share with you!

Liam has started reaching for the piles of books we have in the living room and pulling out his favorites that he wants me to read. It’s so sweet…the boy loves to read. He’ll climb up on mama’s lap and read 5-10 books in a row.

This time I am just sharing our favorites – most of these we found at our local library, and have since purchased because we’ve enjoyed them so much:

Chugga-Chugga Choo-Choo

This is the cutest train book, and it’s so fun to do the sound effects. This is one of the first books we reach for in the morning. Woooooo! Woooooooooo!

Farmyard Beat

Another super fun book to read! I get really into reading this – it’s a great dancing, singing, read-a-loud kind of book!

Peek-A-Zoo!

I’m not sure what it is about this book, but Liam loves it! I will read it to him, set it down, and he’ll find it and give it to me to read again. And again.

Where Is Baby’s Belly Button? A Lift-the-Flap Book

I love watching Liam react to the babies in this book. Lift the flap books are great, and I feel like he’s becoming more interested in them and able to do them at 10 months than he was previously. This is a fun book for teaching baby where their eyes, hands, feet, and belly button are!

Funny Friends Charlie Monkey (Funny Faces)

This is a simple book about Charlie Monkey and his jungle friends. Liam seems to really like the large colorful pictures.

Can You Say It, Too? Woof! Woof!

Very cute lift the flap book – the perfect size for little hands, Liam can lift all of the flaps by himself, and loves it!

Baby Bear Sees Blue

This is the sweetest book about colors! I love mama & baby bear exploring their surroundings – I fell in love with this book the first time we read it, and had to order it for our little guy.

A Kissing Hand for Chester Raccoon

I probably love this book more than Liam, but it gives me the warm fuzzies. I will definitely remember the “kissing hand” for times when Liam has to be away from mama…so sweet!

That’s it for now, but I hope you seek out and enjoy reading some of these books as well.┬áLiam’s 1st birthday is right around the corner, so please spam me with with your favorite toys & books for 1-2 year olds!
