Catching Up

I’m finally feeling better, so I wanted to catch you up on what we’ve been up to over the last week. We had a busy & amazing week/weekend…including celebrating Collin’s birthday! We enjoyed an adventurous traditional Japanese dinner at Wa Dining OKAN with a dessert waffle to follow (less adventurous, but just as amazing!) We went camping with friends Thursday & Friday night at South Carlsbad State Beach, and then had some friends visiting from San Francisco for the weekend. It was so nice to have some time off to reset and just enjoy spending time with everyone. We did some biking, sailing, the boys surfed, and I got to eat french toast TWICE (what’s not to love?!). I am cherishing these moments before baby arrives.

This picture was taken on Easter Sunday at Crystal Pier – I was about 23 weeks pregnant.

I am 24 weeks today, and I can’t believe that I only have 16 weeks left. This pregnancy is still going great…I am feeling the baby kicking and moving a lot more lately. It’s so fun to watch my belly move. It still seems surreal that we are going to be parents in a few short months.

I have received some wonderful emails from other mamas that have read the blog offering their advice or wisdom on cloth diapering, natural birth/delivery, etc. I love connecting to women who have similar goals and desires for their children, so keep the emails and comments coming! We appreciate every piece of advice we get.

My 30th birthday is also coming up this weekend, so I am looking forward to that. I’m excited to just spend the weekend relaxing and celebrating with the hubs. I am loving these moments together, just the two of us. Of course I am excited to add another member to our family, but I am trying to enjoy every moment we have together just us before that all changes.

Moms & Dads: What things do you recommend we do together before baby arrives?
